I love when I come across new bloggers. They make my heart smile. Amy from At The Pink of Perfection is a super fashionable housewife who loves fashion, decorating, cooking, beauty — I may need her to help redecorate my office. We both share a great love for nail polish, lipstick, and new trends. So of course I had to introduce her to you. With a motto like “Happy Wife, Happy Life!” what’s not to love about her. I love Amy’s answers, check them out.

1. If you read my blog you’ll get lots of manicure tutorials, recipes, and outfit posts.
2. My parents taught me I can do whatever I put my mind to!
3. Everyone should know that I am a textbook fashionista, ask my husband!
4. Half the battle of blogging is persevearance. Taking pictures, editing, writing, etc. takes time.
5. Fashion is temporary BUT style is eternal.
6. An idea I would try: My next big fashion adventure will be leggings!

8. If I could interview anyone it would be my husband’s late grandmothers, and I would ask them about him as a child.

FASHION BLOGGER FRIDAY – @DIVASANDDORKS

It’s quite obviously that through blogging you meet a great deal of awesome fashionistas. I met Christen from DIVASANDDORKS.com via Twitter and we decided to meet up at NYFW one year. Thinking back to the day we met, I remember going — “OOOOH you’re DIVASANDDORKS.com”. She’s tall, gorge, and always has her phone in hand. It was refreshing to meet up with such a great personality that matched her twitter account.

Christen is like a big sister to me (although I am sure I am older). She’s filled with a wealth of media advertisting knowledge, has a crazy cute style, and knows everything there is to know about every gadget that has yet to hit the market. So naturally you should know who Christen is too! Check out what she blogs about, a few blogging tips, and even some lessons that she’s learned along the way.

Kee from iStyleLikeMe and I have been friends for a while. I first met Kee back at a college fashion show in Baltimore where I was one of the event photographers. Although we clicked instantly, her and I are not the kind of friends that call or chat every day. But the kind of friends that respect each others hustle, and encourage one another along the way. I value her opinion and I know she values mine. We have blogversations at least 2 times a week, and with each one our blogs grow and blossom. We push one another for the best and scold each other heavily when we are slacking.

It’s awesome to have someone like Kee on your team. She has great style (as her blog shows) and she’s game to help you push to the front of the “standing only” line just so you both can get a good seat at the L.A.M.B show, LOL. I could go ON AND ON about Kee but I will let you make up your own mind as to how amazing she really is.

I met Taliah perhaps over a year ago via twitter. I think I need to buy some stock, LOL. I am still wondering how we missed each other. We clearly share the same friends, party at the same places, and more importantly we both heart sushi!

Taliah’s blog is so amazing to me. She’s one of those bloggers that finds the time to explore the world outside and take those fun quirky pics. Taliah is definitely one of those style bloggers that you want to shoot because they look good in everything! #URGH. But beyond of all that, I talk to Taliah now almost every day. IDK what I would do without my blog besties.

If you read my blog you’ll get lots of versatility, vintage inspiration, and my all-over-the-place style.

My parents taught me to stay true to myself, love thy neighbor, and express individuality.

Everyone should know that I am not ashamed of using the repeat button and this goes for my favorite movies and songs.
Half the battle of blogging is staying consistent and editing/uploading photos.

Fashion is clothes and accessories but style is all about how you wear them and exude your confidence.

And idea I would try would be to start a non-profit organization for young girls who want to be creative in the arts and fashion but don’t have the support at home or school to do so.

If you could combine Bianca Jagger, vintage Ali Mcgraw, and Olivia Palermo’s style together, I would be complete.

If I could interview anyone it would be Kanye West and I would ask him what are three things that keeps his ever growing creativity going.

3 things fashion bloggers should do are (1) never stick to the script, (2) think outside the box and (3) always give your readers a cool and fresh part of who you are.

Nadia’s daring style is similiar to how I aim to be. Fearless with her curves but still respectful of them. I met Nadia at a blogger conference last year. She was calm in her demeanor – but that may have been because she was paying more attention that I was. Meanwhile couldn’t help but to stare at her amazing purple dress.

Nadia’s space on the web (http://www.nadiaaboulhosn.com/) is filled with funky style with a vintage feel. She begins each style post with a refreshing quote. Cool right. We sent Nadia a few fill in the blank statements just so you can love her too. Check it out.

FASHION BLOGGER FRIDAY: LOVE BROWN SUGAR

It’s clear that in addition to blogging myself I stalk blogs and happily follow their journey. Crazy enough, I can’t even remember where I met Christina (of LoveBrownSugar.com) from but I’ve become totally engaged in her blog journey, uber jealous of her editor perks, and man does she have a super gorge vintage meets urban style. She contributes to a number of glossies like Uptown Magazine, VIBE, and here recently Essence, and of course shares every single glam moment with us. I’ve had the opportunity to chat with her during my NYFW visits but I wanted you to get a glimpse of her vibe.

Here’s a few random sentences that I asked her to complete:

I remember my 1st published article back in college. It was a fashion article about getting a designer look for less. I was on founding staff for a new magazine on my college campus called The Walk. At the time I was an assistant fashion editor and just completely overjoyed at the idea that my words and thoughts about fashion were finally in print! It was a dream come true.

My parents taught me to remain humble in everything I do. Nothing is promised and every blessing I’ve been given has come from above. So throughout life, I’ve kept that lesson and made it a part of my daily living. I’m confident but I try not to boast or give myself too much credit. And I always find the time to give thanks.

Everyone should know that I am kind of a nerd haha. I love fashion and I love my creative side but I did go to business school and I do have weird quirks that only come out when you spend time with me. For example, as a child I used to be, like, a spelling bee champion. And I used to compete in these storytelling contests in elementary school. I traveled around to local competitions reciting stories out loud for sport. Sometimes, I would randomly recite them in front of family and friends. Don’t judge lol.

Half the battle of blogging is putting in the time and energy to be consistent. That’s a constant struggle for me because I work full-time and I have freelance work and other projects that I do to pay the bills. I really do commend those bloggers who have the ability to blog full time because if you don’t, it can be a challenge. But with everything in life, if you love it – you make time for it. And that’s how I feel about blogging. I may miss a few hours of sleep but it’s all worth it when people love my work.

At my first internship I was extremely nervous and a little intimidated. I got my first real internship working in the Designer Women’s Shoes buying department at Saks 5th Ave. It was based in their NY corporate office so there were all these fierce women in amazing designer clothing and of course, amazing shoes. And here I was in Steve Madden heels and H&M threads haha. But I made it work! I’ve never let my lack of designer funds inhibit my creativity and style. I worked my butt off and I looked good. No one had to know I wasn’t decked head to toe in designer. I let my hard work speak for itself.

Dresses and sequins are two of my best friends! What else is so quintessentially girly and glam? I do sequins in moderation. There is a such thing as too many sequins lol. But dresses? I could wear them all day, everyday. I love them more than jeans! (Is that a sin?) I’m definitely a girly girl, so dresses line my closet from front to back.

An idea I would try is skydiving. I’m totally the anti-daredevil but something about it intrigues me. Don’t be surprised if you see a “Kickin’ It: Skydiving with LoveBrownSugar” post some time soon.

If you can combine low-cost with high-style, you’re winning in life. That’s my favorite combination.

If I could interview anyone it would be Beyonce and I would ask her all the unconventional question’s never normally asked. I wouldn’t ask her anything about her music. I would ask about her first love, her favorite dessert, her favorite childhood movie, and what she would name her first child. These are all things I genuinely want to know but she’s never answered.

3 things fashion bloggers should do are a) Make a plan – know what you want to blog about and figure out how you’ll get your thoughts across in a unique way. The blogosphere is over capacity – the only way to stand out is to be unique. b) Get involved – if you love to shop, get involved with local boutiques and shops that could use some publicity. People are always so dead set on being the next Coach collaboration or being an ambassador for some mega brand. But there are tons of small, up and coming brands that would love to partner with you too. Take advantage of that! c) Have fun! Don’t get so caught up on being the next big “thing” that you lose sight of why you started blogging. Do it because it brings you joy. Whether or not thousands of people are reading shouldn’t make a difference. It starts with you. The rest with follow!

It’s undeniable that a great fashion and style blogger is an individual that truly shares with their readers who they are. Your favorite bloggers (& ours too) have a great ability to tell their journey through each post. Tis true for StylePint.com.

Judging from the oh so cute blog title it’s clear that Jess is a petite fashionista. What you may not know is that this 5 foot 1 inch style blogger has a thing for Alexa Chung’s hair, she’s a member of the TEEN VOGUE FASHION CLICK, and maybe in her past life did a stint as a hip hop dancer.
