In my quest to rock more heels AS well AS play in the Cali “Winter” in my boots, it is not cool enough for tights and thick socks, yet I need something to keep my feetsies comfy! Today, for example, its 80 degrees as a high and 40 as a low… bananas right? SO dressing strategically is a must.

One of the things that I have found was something sent to me. Kushy Foot. I happen to see these at Duane Reade in New York! So, as an option to wearing the thick socks or daring NOT to go barefoot, I slid on these Kushy Foot “Foot Covers” that “massages your feet with every step!”

Interestingly enough, these bad boys were quite comfortable! I do have only one concern though… for my size 10 feet, depending on the fabric choice, it is almost too small. In the lace ones they kept falling off my heels L, but the regular solid ones were quite the comfy delight!

HOWEVER, I realized that I had on the wrong size! In plus, they have the fun low cut, lace front, and regular Kushy Foot Socks in sizes 9-12, and these are the ones I need to get my feet in!

Every woman has a right to amazing boots- Right? Right.

Last month, I finally caved in and bought not one or two but 3 Pair of shoes from Sole Society.

Yes, three at one time.

I was on a roll! I mean at $49.95 a pair, what harm could come of this? Right? Thanks to the encouragement of my tweeps, I dove right on in. It just so happened they had some amazingly cute scores and I could not pass this up!

AND THEN…

I met the owners of Sole Society at the Two Point Oh LA Pre-Fashion Week Party, and they gave me two pairs!!!! So sweet, so engaging, and quite a playful bunch!

Imagine my surprise when I saw the fabulous Agyness Deyn on Doc Marten’s new campaign, #FirstandForever look books, a new contemporary look of Dr Martens, Boots I’d happily slip my heels into- I mean whoa! The First and Forever Campaign pulls and tugs on your memories of your first pair of Dr Martens and brings your favorites- all grown up!

Without even telling you how cool of a place Project is- more on this later, one of the first booths I made my way to was the Dr Martens (lovingly remembered as my Docs) booth! Taken completely by surprise about the laid back and chic vibe of the new Dr Martens, I had to snap away! While here, I asked about their latest campaign (as I heard about it before I made my way to MAGIC) I learned about the campaign, the new looks, and the modern twist on a cult classic!

Seriously!

Do you remember Dr.Martens? Where were you when you first saw them? I think I am at that age where Clueless pops into mind as well! LOL I think I am getting… seasoned…

However there are those who do not drive, live in cities where walking and cabbing it is critical and key (SF or NY?), or where being out in the rain is the only option. So what do you do? I have eyed quite a few, and living in Southern California hardly offers me the chance to rightfully sport a pair of rain boots without feeling silly (my own personal thoughts).

Also, rocking rain boots, I have not really put it all together with how to rock them. Like, so I bring a bag for my heels and then rock my boots? I hate fussing with my wardrobe and being all self conscious about it… and while the love of collaborations have fashioned some fabulous looking ones which seem to eliminate my worrying- BUT still.

So, for the longest time that I can remember, I have been keenly aware of Donald Pliner and his shoes. The first word that comes to mind when I think of his shoes is comfort. I have always thought them cute, however, my eyes were never checking for him.

How wrong I was.
