OOTD: Playing with Pops of Neon

One of my personal challenges this year was to wear more separates. If you have been following me for a while now, you know I love a good maxi… so easy, chic, and breezy…

I have been really trying to switch it up and have found over the year my style is changing and with that, I decided to play…

Normally my blouses I would reserve for smart pants or skirt, but today I broke up my new Bellatrix Blouse and paired it with a pair of jeans (both given to me)- The New Lucky Jeans in Plus, to be exact!  Let me say, these jeans are quite soft, comfy, like I can lunge in them! Squatting is not a problem at all, and they do not stretch out all funny and saggy like! I will definitely be adding a few more pair form the collection into my wardrobe!

LipGloss: All My Purple Life by Afrobella for MAC  (I bought Two!)

And then by PURE chance, I had done my nails up in the newest neon hue form Sally Hansen’s Salon Effects and I had scored some earrings from Ideeli (Seriously addicted) in the same shade of Neon! HA! I wanted to have a little fun, so I cuffed up my jeans and threw on these heeled oxfords from Sole Society from last fall season! I wanted a “smart” look that was still true to the Cali girl in me!
