Saturday, amidst the sweltering heat in Los Angeles, I had a chance to catch up with my college buddies and celebrate the 35th birthday of one of my dear friends. It was a time to catch up with old buddies, let down my hair and just be me!
The party was amazing, held at the W Hollywood’s outdoor lounge! With the Vodka flowing generously and the appetizers plenty, the night was memorable and HOT! Not hot as in fly, but HOT as in 85 degrees hot at 9pm at night! SMH…
So, I knew I had to be cute, cool, and comfortable! Immediately, I thought of this dress I scored from a random plus size store at Victoria Gardens a year or so ago, and paired them with my Sam Edelman cork heels! I layered on the gold, with earrings I scored at BEBE (when was the last time you checked out the jewels there?), and layered bracelets from both Ashley Stewart and Lane Bryant!
We jammed to the oldies of New Edition, Bobby Brown, Janet, and EnVogue! Even better when the songs played along with their videos on the mega huge screen that rolled down at the start of the night! In our heels or our flats and even barefoot- we grooved and jammed to the choreography of days past!
Definitely great times! I need more of these!
