What I Wore: City Stepping In Polka Dots

So, yesterday, I was invited out to  a denim event (more news to share soon) and I wanted to rock something casual but chic. Headed to the Sunset Towers Hotel, I wanted to make sure I was presentable and comfy!

Keyword: Comfy!

Pardon the sad faces… I think I was tired? LOL So, I rocked this outfit:

 

I received a pair of Karen Kane Ankle pants for review (I have been wanting a pair and was quite surprised by Karen Kane!) that fit me quite comfortably- who knew that a pair of black skinnies would be! I expected to be restricted or the fit to be off, but how wrong was I? I am in a 1X and they fit quite well! And being that I sat in a total of 4hours of traffic, these puppies did not irritate or cut into the belly!

Added special note: You def should check out Karen Kane as they have a section for plus sizes and they have great staple pieces that fit quite well and more fashionable than the Karen Kane our parents grew up with- honestly!

I paired my skinnies with a sheer polka dot top in a UK size 20 that I scored on sale a while back from Dorothy Perkins! Add my wedges from Matiko to the mix and voila!

Daytime chic without being too fancy or stuffy? I think so!
