OOTD: Sunday Funday in ASOS Curve

It’s been a second since I posted an outfit post… I oftentimes forget to do so!

This one, I am so happy about, because I scored an ASOS dress on sale and in my size… especially as I have been dreaming about this dress for a minute! LOL

OOTD: ASOS Curve Dress

If you know me, I love an ease of wear in my clothing… I do not believe in fussing over your clothes AND I do need to be comfortable! These are non-negotiable! ALSO, I have to be able to rock an item more than two ways at the least before I buy! AT LEAST!

SO THEN, when my shoes came in that I ordered from Sole Society, I quickly knew what I would rock to my next event! The fact that these puppies were wide enough for my feet too? Ha! SCORE.

Hi Marie!  I was wondering if you could tell me a little bit about the fit of the ASOS Curve line?  I can’t seem to find any reviews on fit with them.  I am an oval shape, 5 6″ and pretty consistently a size 18/20  – bust 50 inches, waist 45 inches, hips 52 inches.  (Igigi can sometimes be a 14/16 in dresses but mostly 20 in pants and Kiyonna I am always a 2x, if this helps out at all)

I ordered the slash neck lace dress in a US 20 (UK 24) and it was WAY too small.  It was like I was trying on a misses size 14 in a regular store.  I am wondering if it was just the style of the dress (stretchy lace) or if all of their clothing in the curve line fits smaller?

Also, I am in Canada and got hit with a $30 duty when delivered.  I was wondering if US residents get charged a duty as well when ordering from the UK?  I live very close to the US border have alot my things shipped to a 3rd party shipping company in the US to save on shipping costs and duty?

    Thanks for your help Marie!

Well, posting this a little late, but I’m surprised that the dess didn’t git.  Most of my purchases from ASOS are too big, and some end up going back, others I try and work with.  So, it’s difficult to tell, I base it on the style and type of fabric and just hope I get lucky.  As far as duty, no, U.S. residents do not pay.  The only extra charge I pay is an International Currency Fee from my bank and it’s usually around $1.50.  Hope that helps!

What size are you darlin? Since the opening of the US site, I find it easier for me to play in the sizing…

Soooo sorry for this delay in replying! No we dont pay a duty! Depending on the cut, you have to play around a little bit. Some and most work for me!!!
