The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Sizzles

I must share with you how much of a blast I had at the Heart Truth’s Red Dress fashion show. I love when celebrities can come together for a cause such as heart disease. In case you didn’t know heart disease is the #1 killer of women and it is extremely important for us to take care of our health and start doing things to promote a healthy heart. In order to do so, you need to make sure you get regular doctor visits, strive to eat healthy foods, and of course get plenty of exercise.

The Heart Truth show brought out the creme de la creme of the most down to earth female celebrities. Ann Curry, Gayle King, Patti La Belle, Suzanne Somers, and Taraji P. Henson all strutted their stuff down the runways and the crowd went nuts. One major surprise was seeing a very pregnant and glowing Laila Ali come down the runway in a beautiful draped floor length gown. Everyone was even more surprised to see a bubbly Suzanne Somers twirling on the catwalk. Attendees were also treated to a special performance by Natasha Bedingfield, who might I say, rocked the house.

There were also a few A-list celebs sitting in the front rows as well. I spotted both Mr. J’s from ANTM and the fabulous stylist extraordinaire Ms. June Ambrose and a curly haired unshaven yet sexy Matthew Mcconaughey.

Okay, enough of me bragging, checkout a few of my favorite celebs that rocked the catwalk in support of preventing heart disease. Oh, by the way, for the third consecutive year, The Heart Truth, in partnership with Clothes Off Our Back (www.clothesoffourback.org), will auction a selection of designer dresses worn by celebrities in the fashion show. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health and will be used to further efforts related to women’s heart health awareness and research.
