Joy Cioci NYFW Fall 2011

There comes a moment when an ease of elegance and sophistication tug at my heart- especially when shown on a plus size model during New York Fashion Week. Such was the case with Joy Cioci. This freshman designer tickled me with romantic influences and whimsical and concise detailing throughout her pieces.

Joy Cioci is no newbie to the design world. After apprenticeships at Gucci, Carolina Herrera and Nina Ricci,  Joy Cioci delved into contemporary fashion scene,  before launching her first collection, Joy Cioci; this Fall during NYFW.

Timeless, effortless, seasonless- yet full of inspiration, Joy Cioci is a designer whose collection I will watch closely- especially as she snuck in two fuller figured models- Marquita Pring and another whose name I do not know!

Bouts of sheer overlays, fur trimmed boots, pleated detailing, flowing silks and such an amazing layering style play that left me gasping!
