At the top of August, I was invited to host the NAAFA Fashion Show in San Francisco. Elated and honored, a girl had to figure out what I had or what to wear that was dressy enough for the event, all while being comfortable (So key for me!). Luckily enough, I had just received my Eliza Parker Miami dress, and I just knew I was set and ready to go!

Have you heard of Eliza Parker?
This latest plus size designer has splashed onto the scene with cover model Fluvia Lacerda with chic sophistication and great execution!
My Miami wrap dress was no exception! Most plus size dresses that show a wrap dress (from my experience, have been a faux wrap. Not this one! This fully lined (YES!), sumptuous fabric grazed my humps, lumps, and bumps beautifully. Although it was a tad fuller in the chest, I think I played it off well!
Straps were wide enough to conceal the bra and the fabric weight was sufficient to drape perfectly- I have to say, I was impressed!
I accessorized with silver, to offset the teal! Earrings by Hearts Desire Jewelry and my bracelet by the lovely Rachel of Fennimas completed my look. My shoes are not pictured, but I did fashion a pair of black patent peep toe sling backs from Payless! HA! Thanks to the lovely ladies Tracey of Blinging Beauty and KeKe for the makeup!

The highlight of the evening was not me in my newfound favoortie dress, but the women who walked the runway! While some are used to being in the spotlight, strutting with moxie, sass and panache; there were some women who have never donned a full face of makeup, never thought of themselves as beautiful, never put their bodies in fabulous frocks that catered to every hump and bump on their body! THAT transformation was THE moment! Seeing a woman tear up with glee over her newfound beauty or a woman bouncing with glee over clothes she had never known to be had for her shape- these were the moments I will cherish most!
I digress, but make sure you check out the Eliza Parker collection!
