Curvy. Confident. Chic. To me means that us girls on the bigger end of the size spectrum should still be able to be beautiful, fashionable and self-accepting. Fat and happiness are not opposites – they can and should co-exist. To be bigger than the majority of people we see on the street is nothing to be ashamed of – we are not alone! But we must be assertive and get out there, look sexy and encourage the rest of the plus size girls to join us – I know they exist, but sometimes we need that extra bit of inspiration or a little push in the right direction. On-trend fashion has finally seeped through to the plus size market, let’s prove to the rest of the world that we are no different, we shouldn’t be forced in to hiding or feel ashamed of ourselves; but we are as beautiful as the next person – we need to remember that no one; NO ONE; else has the right to tell us any different.

We are curvy, voluptuous, fat, plus size, big, heavy, buxom, some of us are obese, some of us are tall and some are short – some are skinny, some medium, some large, some of us come in XXXL and up, but we have to remember that there is no template of what makes a perfect person, especially on the outside. We need to accept who we are and accept our sisters and brothers for who they are and share in confidence, love, happiness and, of course, fashion.

i love your inclusionary description of us. thank you. it irks me to no end when we, in an effort to push size acceptance, start picking and choosing who can’t be part of our club because they have too much or too little. size acceptance with limits is not size acceptance.

btw, devon, i love the green asos curves dress on you.

Hey asha! You are sooo welcome! I started this to stay on track with my message of Curvy.Confident.Chic. to show that we are ALL beautiful and fashionable, and fancy! :)

I do hope that this continues and people do continue to share and tell us why they are fabulous! Thank you again!

Asha, thank you for the comment about the dress, green is my favourite colour!
We’re all people and we all have the right to be happy and have others accept us for who we are. Some of my friends are fat, some are thin, so what? They’re just as beautiful :D

Your definition of Curvy. Confident. Chic. is really inspiring!

I also want to say I love this series. I’m still dealing with issues about my size and this is helping me learn to accept myself.
