I'm French Canadian. It would be hard to translate everything they're saying, but they ask the models "In a society with so much emphasises on image, do you try to improve your own physical appearance or do you try to accept yourself as you are?" so they're all sharing their experience. Justine Legault said she has always been a little curvier than average but didn't have a problem with it, except it's often other people who do. People would tell her to lose weight while she felt good in her own body. She also says she's seeing a shift now, there is more demand for curvy women in the media. I hate to say it, but for the magazines it is not about body acceptance and trying to put all sizes out there; it is about money. And this is all the rage. Yes, I LOVE seeing these absolutely stunning, curvy women in the magazines, and I am sure it is a step to one day having all sizes of women together in a spread. I don't agree, though, that singling out a "plus" model for one spread is actually an advance in acceptance.
