What you missed this weekend

I do not know what is in the water… but this weekend, there were an amazing roundup of plus size fashion stories this weekend!  No Seriously! From Gabby Sidibe to Polish Elle, seriously, our curves are most definitely en vogue!

Here is what you missed:

Editors are complaining that our newest curvy celebrity, Gabby Sidibe is mean… please say it ain’t so!!! You are too new into the game and too funny and too talented to be mean Gabby!

VP of the Plus Size division of Ford, Gary Dakin, talks to the Times.uk about growing up as a gay teen and always having a soft spot for plus size women.  Today, he represents Crystal Renn, Ashely Graham, Tara Lynn and some our industry’s leading plus size models.

Over on the Fa(t)shionsphere, Monique from Curves and Chaos shares with us, Ten things she loves about herself- citing that “this community of amazing and beautiful curvy bloggers, has been exactly what I needed to realize what I love about myself .”

Jai, from The Fat and Skinny on Fashion shares her concerns about the plus size fashion community and addresses Blog Envy, while Vactress co-signs and gives a nod to being nice and showing support to our fellow plus size bloggers.  It is all about COMMUNITY!

Graphic designer turned Fatshionista blogger, Christina from Musings of a Fatshionista launches her newly designed blog and dons a fabulous Fat Fashion recap!

Meanwhile, plus size designer, Qristyl Frazier is interviewed and featured on Columbia Tribune, sharing her life after Project Runway and how she continues to make it work!

Plus size model, Samantha Davis was featured in Jessica Simpson’s Price of Beauty, finale show as one of the models!

Most spectacularly, especially right after my recent post questioning Curves in the USA, Jezebel tips us off to Polish ELLE magazine, which features full figured fashionistas in a four page spread!
