Not only does this help with search engine optimization in reference to your pictures showing up on Google, it also helps as well with finding out where they are. Not everyone changes the tags on pictures when they use them for articles, therefore they show up when searched and then in effect lead to the site they are housed on. Below is an example of my Google name search and as you can see one of the pictures leads to an interview I did for The Curvy Fashionista – Marie Denee.
