The world’s largest organization for fat acceptance fashions a design scholarship
Fostering an atmosphere for aspiring plus size designers to launch their own line, the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA) has just announced their design scholarship! Created to encourage student fashion designers to cater to the curvy fashionista, NAAFA’s $1000 scholarship helps an aspirational designer bring their dream into fruition.
In addition to their fashion scholarship, NAAFA will also provide the designer the platform to display the student’s design in front of the most pointed audience- The 2010 National NAAFA Convention Fashion Show!
This fashion show takes place at the Westin San Francisco Hotel! So fancy!!!
So what do you need to do? What are the requirements?
Okay,
- You have to be a student currently enrolled in an accredited Fashion Design School
- You have to submit three drawings of  your plus-size fashions
- You must fashion a short essay (750 words or less), sharing your inspiration, your innovation, and your interest in the plus-size fashion industry
