at many Lane Bryant's they are using plus size mannequins. they actually wear a size 14-16! its awesome )

I don’t like to buy clothing online that isn’t shown on plus size models, and think a lot of people feel the same way. This should hold true in department stores also. You don’t get a good feel for the clothing by seeing it on a size 2 mannequin!

It would definitely catch my eye & maybe open my eyes to certain pieces that I wouldn’t even think to try on before.

I find this to be a very interesting and relevant post. I own a contemporary plus size apparel boutique in Milwaukee. And just this morning I received a phone call from a women who read our local paper, The Journal Sentinel. She shared that she saw one of our models shown in the paper’s annual Spring Feature and thanked us for using women who were “real size”. All our models range from size 14-22. I know for a fact that plus size women appreciate seeing models (and mannequins) that look like them!
