Bay Area Plus Size Fashion Show-Kiss the Curves

If you have not heard already, there is a buzz floating the Bay Area about the latest Plus Size Fashion breakthrough! Starting the year off fashionably, is none of than Kiss the Curves, produced by Tracie Collins! So excited to be a part of the production, I have to give you the latest updates with this phenomenal event coming the Oakland, Ca!

New York, NY, 1/11/2010:  With only four weeks away from the West Coast’s most anticipated plus-size fashion event of the New Year, Kiss the Curves: “The First Ever Plus-Size Fashion Gala in the Bay,” is partnering with plus-size retailer and featured showcase designer Igigi to discover the hottest plus-size models to grace the runway February 6, 2010 at the Historic Sweets Ballroom in Oakland, CA.  The open call which is scheduled for Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM, will be held at Igigi’s San Francisco Headquarters, located at 1547 Mission Street.

Hosted by Bay Area’s Quiet Storm 102.9 KBLX-FM radio personality, Sterling James, showcased designers at Kiss the Curves will include retailers such as Ashley Stewart, Igigi, Marie Denee, Corinthia Peoples Designs, Chocolate Sushi Couture, A Clothes Mind, Tru Diva and Isle’s of Paradise. Selected models will be seen by hundreds of show attendees, which will include several members of the media, industry professionals and dignitaries.

Attendees will be treated to a pre-show VIP champagne hour starting at 6 PM, a spectacular runway show choreographed by renowned runway and talent coach Charleston Pierce, followed by an after party celebration at the venue that will include live entertainment, cash bar, hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to shop retailers from the show.

Advertising sponsors of Kiss the Curves includes, Clear Channel Radio, PLUS Model Magazine, 102.9 KBLX-FM, Ashley Stewart, SKORCH Magazine, Lexus, Daily Venus Diva Magazine and Black Entertainment Monthly.  Lead photography will be provided by celebrity photographer, Nana of 510 Media.

Pre-sale tickets to Kiss the Curves for general admission are currently on sale for $20, with VIP tickets on sale for $35 and can be purchased through Airbourne Tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $25 on the day of the event.
