Happy Blogiversary to me!
My what a difference a year makes! Last year, late December, I had this radical idea to start something a little bit different, share what information was bursting at the seams with me. I had the idea to start a blog! Never in a million years would I have ever thought my blog would have evolved so!
My first posts put the spotlight on Gok Wan, B and Lu, Jill Scott, Marie Melodie and the lovely Darren Trentacosta! My first spotlight was on the ever-talented Reah Norman, the West Coast Style Editor for Plus Model Magazine!
The Style Sample Magazine was the first to spotlight my blog with their debut issue! Anna Scholz gave me a few hours of her time, Monif C. shared her sassy appeal, and Douglas Says Ripped the Runway!
I wrote my letter to the retail industry, declared that I am Curvy.Confident.Chic., fashioned my version of  the top ten dos and don’ts of plus size fashion, and declared this year of the Curvy.Confident.Chic. Plus Size Woman.
Attending events such as Project Curve Appeal and Full Figured Fashion Week allowed me to meet YOU and so many trailblazers within the Plus Community! Magazines such as Plus Model Magazine and Daily Venus Diva held a torch for plus size fashion, SKORCH splashed back onto the scene along with Gemini, Manik, and so many more are following suit!
See, I lost my job, Friday the 13th of March (I know right?) this year, leaving me to seize the day and finally pursue my dreams! I am a firm believer that when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade! So, I went to work!
I was able to pour my heart into this blog, lay the foundation for my online boutique, and continue to share and cover the latest in fashion trends, news, entertainment, tips, and tricks to put your best curve forward!
Most of all- I thank you, the reader! The emails, the comments, the love, the critiques, the disagreements- all of which have challenged me to be the best I could be. For that, I thank you so much!
So now what?
