Introducing Beauty Beat
The Curvy Fashionista has been evolving in such the most fabulous ways- thanks to all of you readers and your fabulous emails and comments! I have been contemplating and have been challenged to add beauty to the mix of things here at The Curvy Fashionista. Donning the flyest and newest in plus size fashion is only3/4 of the battle, and a Curvy.Confident.Chic. fashionista must always put her best face forward!
I am not going to lie, just as much as I obsess over the next fashion frock to sashay over my hips, I insanely obsess over the next eyeliner, nail polish, blush, and mascara as the next beauty junkie, without really having the opportunity to share with you my insane fetish for beauty!
Working for various department stores has exposed me to the newest and latest in make-up, application, and all of its fashionable finds… and I am dying to share!
While still in its infancy, slowly I will be adding reviews and news regarding the newest and latest in beauty products for your informational pleasure!
If there is a beauty product you cannot live without, please let me know!

Oh my where to start. Depends on which make up bag you want. My staple routine would be a mixture of clinique skin care, Estee Lauder Daily wear plus for moisturizer then Clinique foundation – matte and a bit of bronzer. Make up wise, I’m all over the board from glittery purples to muted browns. Lips, I prefer ruby reds but do like a great shade of Mark for avon lip powder in a great matte rose.
Boho girl that I am, I don’t wear a lot of makeup. I buy organic and vegan products and currently am trying out Almay’s pure naturals. I use moisturizer mixed with a little foundation and some mascara. Sometimes I play with eye colour and since I have gray-green eyes I use, purples, greens and browns most often. I will try out a charcoal gray colour soon. I have a love hate relationship with lipstick. I don’t have a great mouth so I don’t usually want to draw attention to it. I have a smashbox photo finish lipstick which I love but it isn’t vegan and my favourite colour has been discontinued. I am thinking of trying out the Mark for Avon products if I can get them where I live.
