How I love to bring you the newest, latest, and flyest in plus size designer fashion! And today is no exception!
Hailing from Canada, Lotis is the newest designer to emerge for the Curvy.Confident.Chic. Plus Size Fashionista! Stemming from Greek mythology, Lotis managed to escape danger by morphing into a lotus tree, a tree which bore a pleasant fruit.
This character inspired designers Katie Burke and Jessica Mealey and special collaboration with Toronto designer Renee Lethbridge to create the line to take the concept of of the lotus flower: existing in many stunning colors, going through abundant growth cycles, all of which that embodies the process many women encounter season by season; transitioning colors, styles and overall presence.

“Lotis, the new clothing line designed specifically for plus-size women, was created and designed in Canada. The line was developed by Katie Burke and Jessica Mealey, owners of a plus size boutique. From the day to day activities styling and outfitting plus size women and running their business, Katie and Jessica experienced many limitations when it came to buying for their clients, and constantly struggled with obtaining merchandise for their boutique which was suited to their clients needs.
After attending the first Full Figured Fashion Week in New York City in June of 2009, the ladies returned to Canada feeling inspired, and immediately began working on Lotis. The goal was to create inspired collections for a demographic which is in need of quality, fashion forward pieces, and importantly, selection. With the launch of Lotis, Katie and Jessica are presenting what they have to offer based on experiences and seeing the limitations when it comes to finding flattering details as well as variety when it comes to clothing. 
The Lotis collections are inspired by women who strive to embrace their shape and celebrate style. The collection is strong, professional, feminine, and portrays clean lines and tailored fits which are better suited to the needs of the curvy woman. The goal is to effectively outfit the professional woman, on the clock AND off the clock, by providing pieces that are conservative with an edge. The line brings diverse fashion forward pieces in casual wear and career wear; always chic with a twist of flattering details.”
